Hi! I have bought this fabric from the shop in Hannibal over 2 trips. Sales and stuff.

I love it a LOT but don't have any ideas what to do with it. I don't want anything too easy. I do like a challenge, but I don't want to do a wedding ring either. Patchwork is my favorite and I like prairie points too. I want something at least lap size.

The first 2 pics are all together. the xecond 2 will have letters and yardage for lights and darks.

I can't wait to see the ideas. Soo excited! :D

here are closer looks with measuring tape and yardage.

A 2 yards
B 2 yards
C 1.5 yards
D 1 yard (stripes are horizontal... follow the salvedge from left to right)
E 1 yard
F 2 fat quarters
G 2.5 yards
H 4 yards
I 2 yards

I am not worried if I have backing fabric. I almost never buy that until top is done. Unless something talks to me. :)

I can feel your dilemma! It is absolutely lovely fabric. I don't know what I would make from it either, but I completely understand why you bought it!!

Lovely fabrics! First things that came to mind was a bargello, giant dalia and log cabin. Whatever pattern you do, I'm sure it will be beautiful!

Gorgeous fabric! You can make a lovely black and white quilt, I've done a red & white one and it's gorgeous, two or three color quilts really make a statement. I would fussy cut a few fabrics and the rest I'd use designs that would showcase the fabrics, like hourglass, friendship stars, I'd stay away from tiny piecing project, unless it's like an Irish Chain that connects a pattern. And several of your fabrics would make fabulous purses and totes! So with the extra fabric, that's what I'd do!
Kind Regards,
MaryAnna
PS I'm much like you, I have a 'love affair' with fabric, buy when on sale, and then plan my project.

I would put the striped fabric with the lights, add one more light, and do a log cabin. A bolder color for the center (hearth) block would really make it pop.

I love the fabric, too. What line is it?

Here is a link to a good log cabin pattern:

actually that one is on my list. If I don't find something more challenging, this will be in the top 3 for choices.

Thanks for reminding me of that pattern.

I posted this picture the other day of my quilt stacked coins. Your fabric would work great for this.
