Lozza's Projects

I have a few quilts on the go at the moment.
This is my Flower Garden Quilt. Although, I haven't picked it up in a while.
This is what I originally started with, but decided I didn't like it. I have since done a bit more embroidery work on it and turned it into a cushion. As you can see, the embroidery work is very basic.
Then I started playing with colours and designs. I wanted to make a queen size quilt, but ran out of the plain greeny colour.
So instead of buying more material, I just used this other green colour that I had.
These are old pics and since this pic was taken, I have pieced the blocks together. But, can you see how many tiny little flowers are in this?? I have created lots of work for myself and am embroidering around all of them. So as you can imagine, it is taking its time. But it should be worth it... I hope.... It better be. Lol. I had planned on having it finished by now but as life goes, something always crops up that destroys those plans.
This is my Sleepless Quilt. It is called this because it is the quilt I made and finished on the nights when I couldn't sleep a few weeks ago. It is a really basic design. I have only done simple quilting. I don't have time to do any fancy quilting... maybe later if I ever get a chance.
This is my Poppy Quilt.
This is the completed background.
A few close ups
I have based it on this design and am in the process of appliqueing the flowers on it.

Something simple I made last year when I had a broken arm. It kept me sane, although it was really hard. I made loads of mistakes but it felt great to achieve something at that time. The words around it are Nurture, Nourish, Enrich, Enjoy. They refer not only to how we should look after our flower gardens, but also our own lives.

I think your work is fantastic, I love the free will and the free flow, I really love the one with all the flowers, with the long stems. I love applique. I really like your bright cheerful flowers. Your quilts are full of adventure...
