Well first and foremost I got to spend my extended lunch break with very sweet people. Ms. Dovie - owner of Quilting and Fabric Shop in Channelview, TX, Shirley (sak658) and to finally meet Joan (Jabear617) and a bonus her adorable niece & sister Judy! So much fun, unfortunately...I had to go back to work. Hopefully, we can do it again soon!!!

Anyway...I hope you're sitting down. I bought 50 yds of material. Yes, f-i-f-t-y. I know you probably think I'm insane..."maybe", but....

how often can you buy QS material for $1/yd...yes, $1.00!!!

I just couldn't wait to get home & fondle it. And here's hoping that I won't have to go shoping for my swaps :)

Had to take a single shot...it's just too pretty

Wow!!! How lucky are you. LQS would never sell fabric for $1.00 here in Australia. If I found quilt fabric for $1.00 I think I'd mortgage the house. You got some beautiful fabrics. Have fun.

PS Are you going to divulge the name of the shop?

Very nice... I love shopping for fabric, but when you can get it that cheap it's so much better!!

Good for you. No better way to spend lunch than with friends who help you build your stash.

heheheh...disclaimer in case my bf reads :)

I used restraint...I chose not to buy 4-5 of the fabrics available for this price AND...I only bought the $1/yd fabrics.

Last saturday I bought almost 30 yds because calico's were $2/yd and other stuff (which is EXTREMELY reasonable to begin with) was 1/2 off.

And there's still a few more that I want and hope I can get them while they're still on sale, but I have to spread it out a lil :)

I keep waiting for my other half to say...ummm so when are you going to make something with all that??? LOL.
