A long long time ago, I made this quilt for my mother. It tells a story of our summer days on Cape Cod. A couple of years ago, my mother died and I re-acquired the quilt. Currently, it sits folded, in the family room. Way too afraid to wash it, for I am not sure the quality of my applique.

The quilt is 86x70". Decided the Drunkard's Path looked like water, so I created the border using that block for around the sides.

Thank you for looking!

I am sure your mother treasured it. Go ahead and wash it. Even if the appliques come a little loose you can use a little fabric glue to stick them down again. It is a wonderful memory to keep.
