I got this panel this summer and of course I waited until the last minute to make a quilt out of it. The squares with scripture verses and symbols were from the panel and the crosses were embroidered using my machine. Her birthday is next Tuesday and we hope to be able to drive down and see her. She lives 4 hours away from us in a nursing home.

Be sure and put her name on it with a fabric marking pen.

Beautiful quilt. Wish your Mama a Happy Birthday from all of us here.

Yes, they are correct, be sure to have your Mom's name on the quilt.

My Mama was in a nursing home for almost 3 years and lost a lot of her things.

Also, if you have a relative, friend or acquaintence that visits your mother, you might also want them to launder the quilt when it needs it. The nursing homes use such strong deteregents it ruins good thing like that beautiful quilt.

Its a beautiful Quilt. My Mom is also in a nursing home.I was told "NOT" to take her a quilt that I made for her due to things getting misplaced so easily, or stolen. Perhaps you could hang it on her wall. She could look at it any time hanging on the wall and wont have to be washed so often as it would being used. I'd hate for it to get lost for your and her sake. I'm sure she will love it.

What a wonderful way to celebrate your mother's birthday. I made a quilt for my mother's 85th birthday about 5 years ago and she was speechless. I am sure your mother will love your labor of love as well!
