I finished my sofa quilt. It is 36 wide and 56 long. I embroided everything but the barred wire. I quilted with only muslin backing, then added minky to the back, turn it inside out and hand finished the small opening. I quilted only the block outlines to attach the minky to the quilt top. The minky makes it so cuddly soft. I found a clip art for the boot and made an embroidery from that and from EmbroideryLibrary.com I got the western designs. I used a varigated brown thread. It doesn't show up well in the picture. Not sure what else I could have used.

I really like the colors as well. Also the barbed wire. Is that done with the machine? Did you hand embroidered the boots?

On my Viking Designer Diamond I combined stitches. One of the angles and 5 of the stitch that put two straight stitches side by side.

The embroidery may not show real well but the quilt is still great. Love the fabrics.
