I love this idea so much. What a great tradition and memory! And her quilt is beautiful.

I am sorry that I can't share that pattern. The quilt was made by my sister in law, from my dad's ties after he passed away. I don't know how she did it. I was lucky to receive it from my Mom when she went into the nursing home. I really treasure it. Sure wish I could help you out.

First of all, you are a wonderful grandma. You are giving your grandchildren a very special experience to treasure forever. Your grand daughter is a beautiful young lady, and has made a beautiful quilt. She is very talented. Thank you for sharing this with us. I love seeing what people like you are doing with their children/grandchildren/great grand children.
