Once again, I got off course and found a new obsession. I was going to piece the backing for my modified bento box, but that's not my favorite thing to do..long story short, I decided to make ONE block in the crumb style from my leftover strips. I ended up making 19, plus the one normal looking hst 10 minute block. My blocks are really more of a freestyle log cabin because most of my crumbs are actually strips. I did clear out 2 shoe boxes FULL of leftover strips from the bento box, asterisk and day at the beach quilts. I have really big feet so I had lots of strips and scraps in those boxes. I had just about used up all of those crumbs when I decided to root around and find some more, thus the pile of crumbs picture.
I said this was going to be a long story short, I lied.
I had a fabulous fun time playing with these blocks, I hope you'll enjoy the pictures. I did a close up of some of my favorites.

What a fun quilt that is going to be. Sometimes those things we just play around with are our favorites.

I did start on the backing before I left for work this morning, I'll try to finish it tonight, that is if the crumbs don't get to me first!
