Default Mariners compass LAQ is done!

I just finished up this afternoon. This quilt was made by another QB member. She did a beautiful job on this. I did my best to make it even prettier (no easy task as this top was GORGEOUS!!) I posted a sneak peek here
http://www.quiltingboard.com/picture...a-t254463.html

There is more ruler work than FMQ in this with all the ditch work and curved cross hatching. I have approximately 48 hours of work in this. I think the owner should put it in a show or two. I think it will do well.

Techy stuff, 2 layers of batting. Hobbs 80/20 on bottom and Hobbs Polyfil on top. All the ditch work was done with Fil Tec Essence, a monofiliment polyester thread. Glide in colors Federal Blue and Military Gold on top and magna glide bobbins throughout, in navy and gold. All hand guided, no computer except a stitch regulator. Quilted on my Innova LA.

The whole quilt, some block close ups and a couple of gratuitous back shots.

That curved cross hatching was very well done. You did an excellent job in your selection of your fabrics along with your piecing. Enjoy it for many years to come.
