There are 12 of us participating in a challenge.....a picture of a pond was cut into equal squares...this is the one I got. None of us has seen the entire picture, only our piece..The only rule is the size, 11x11. The techniques and skill levels will vary so this will be a very interesting art quilt when assembled. I placed strips of fabric around the border just to photograph, they are not part of the completed block.

Looks very good. A freind and her 4 sisters did a picture that way with very interesting results also. I hope you will show us th finished product. Who gets it?

The lady who suggested the challenge gets to keep the finished quilt. BUT...she is also the one who has to put the pieces together...lol...I don't think I would want that particular task...

Oh those look like so much fun, and a lot of work, saw some landscape panels at the Tacoma quilt show last month it was amazing how everthing went together so well. I'm sure it will be beautiful

It will be interesting to watch for the results..... seems your piece came from a rather beautiful original - wonder if I would have been able to cut it up so easily?
