While scrolling through recent topics I noticed that someone was asking about McKenna Ryan patterns...

I have done several of the McKenna Ryan quilts, or versions of them. I fuse the pieces on and using invisible thread stitch very carefully around the edges...about a sixteenth of an inch inside. I love her patterns, and they turn out real pretty. Tedious, but worth it.

Wonderful work! Love that rooster! And thanks for the tip re: sewing with mono-filament - I'm about to find the fabric for my first one - "Which came first?"

Lady at Fabric Depot said she'd help me with that as she is the batik specialist!

Do you mean which quilt came first? Actually, the request for the rooster came while I was working on the McKenna Ryan. My daughter has that crazy rooster, and wanted his "portrait" done. I used a pattern that I found in my stash and modified it to fit him.
Here's a couple of variations of one of M Ryan's patterns. Again, my daughter and her farm animals.

Boy-I LOVE her patterns, but don't have any - YET - on my "extreme wish list"! Great quilts!
