Default Memories of Christmas wallhanging

I found this darling Alexander Henry fabric last year, it immediately brought back memories of Christmas shopping with my Grandma. I made this one for my sister and an identical one (except for the label) for me. It was a fun, nostalgic, quick project. I thought about my dear Grandma all the while.

That is sweet. I love the quilting and that label is the best.

Charming and sweet wall quilts. I love the fabrics and your design and I know they will mean so much to your sister also. I can relate to those memories too, mom, me and my sister, shopping at Woolworth's and picking out our Christmas candy and then having a sandwich and cherry coke at the lunch counter. Does any one else remember that they would hang balloons around the luncheon counter and you could choose one and "pop" it to see if the little slip of paper on the inside would get you a free or discounted ice cream sundae. Oh my, such wonderful memories!!! Thanks for reminding me.
