Default Completed!!!

I actually waited to finish this until I bought my longarm machine and took almost year to play around and get comfortable with it. I’m not very good with the FMQing yet, but did a little ruler work in the green borders and a little FMQing in the black inner border while doing a pantograph on the center. The quilt was bigger than my frame so that presented challenges but I did it!

I guess I’ve been away for too long and forgot how to add pictures. Will keep trying to add them.

What a lovely, elegant quilt! You did a wonderful job. I hate doing the quilting, so I don't have any helpful hints for you. I have found that practicing on a sample helps you get comfortable with a quilting pattern, but it doesn't help with being able to handle the weight and bulk of the large quilt. Good luck.

Very good all the way around. You have done a fantastic job with the blocks and the finishing triangles for the border. Very creative. Thanks for sharing.

I think I like the small black dot. Your quilting may soften the strong contrast between the block background and the black dot triangles.

I quilt on my 6600 - love that machine! Be sure to take lots of breaks to stretch out your shoulders and rest your arms - I find I get quite tired, and push myself past the point sometimes. Your quilt is just lovely!
