Pretty in Pink. At my 5 year old GDs insistence, whines, and pleas I made her a princess quilt with matching pillow case. It had to be "PINK" and purple, have princesses, flowers, rainbows, and her name on it. I gather up the fabric and panels waiting on some type of inspiration, subliminal message, something to tell me what to do next as I'm not overly fond of Pepto Bismo pink. She and her daddy were living with us at the time so I procrastinated until a couple of weeks ago when he bought a home for them. Now I'm down to the wire and must get it done before the move in date. She is totally delighted, and daddy thinks it's beautiful and is so proud. She is putting this on a "pink" iron heart trundle bed that I've had stored in the "spare" bedroom for 20 years just waiting for the perfect person to give it to. I am having difficulty downloading additional pictures. I used princess panels framed in pink polka dot fabric as the border, the binding is purple using the same purple blocks on the corners because I didn't have enough panels, inner border is her "rainbow" colors, princess fabric for the middle quilt area and just encircled the 3 princesses and used random stippling (still practicing) in the middle, I then appliqued (first time) her name L I N N E A in the bottom center surrounded with flowers from left over fabric and my scraps. My camera has limited capabilities, as well as the user!! I can only attach one photo at a time.

I had that same pink princess fabric and made a quilt for my granddaughters little cousin, from the other side of the fence, a cute quilt and she has moved away and I haven't given it to her yet. If I wait much longer it will be a doll quilt for her baby dolls.
