Default Midnight Forest Wall Hanging

Just completed my first wall hanging. Its from the pattern "Manzanita" by Random Threadz. (www.randomthreadz.com). Its about 25" x 29". All fabrics are batiks (including the black). The center is quilted with Glide thread in silver, and the remainder is quilted in black and brown thread. There are 125 glass leaf buttons that I've glued on (can also be sewn). They suggested gluing them first then sewing them down but I used a glue for fabric that has proven in the past to work on embellishments. It is square and straight but because its so light I need to add weights in the bottom corners. The tree is fused applique.

WOW, what a very interesting art quilt. Nicely done. You have to have a whole lot of patience in getting all those glass leaves glued in the correct location !!
