    Default Minky Monkeys

I ordered this material online and have never sewn this type of fabric. I can tell you I won't be sewing it again anytime soon. My machine hated it. I did however learn an important lesson on this one. It really pays to messure. on side of the quilt looks longer than the other, but I refused to rip it all out and re-adjust.

It looks wonderful, warm and cozy! My very first quilt had a bit of minkee in it. It is amazing how many "quilty" things I've done before someone could tell me "Oh, that is so hard to do". If someone puts the thought in my head that something is going to be difficult, I dread it and it usually turns out bad.

My biggest challenge with minkee was a quilt that I made using brides maid dress fabric (satin) and minkee!

you do need to use a walking foot when sewing minky, unless you have a pfaff or other machine that has the built in walking foot/even feed feature.

I was using a walking foot and I really didn't have a problem with my machines preformance its just that it was so loud when sewing I just new it was gonna fall apart any moment..

It looks so snuggly! Don't stress over it not being perfect. Anytime we try something new is how we learn to deal with that fabric.

Very pretty.I used minkee 1 time and I'm sure it will be the last. It is really hard to control for me.
