You know how we get inspiration from any odd thing we see, right? Well, this was a set of "logos" from my church bulletin. It represents our relationships with Christ, fellow Christians, and the world. From the minute I saw it, I knew I had to do it in fabric one day. And here it is.
I took the logos to Kinko's and had them blown up from 2" to 2 feet. I taped the page on the glass door. Then with my Chaco liner pen, marked the line placement. I made 3/4" tubes, machine basted them in place, then hand stitched them down.

Beautiful work. I don't quite understand the symbols, but I do understand the concepts. I too am a walking, talking, born again, saved by the blood Christian! :-)

Well the first one you can see the cross, right?
On the second, it's 3 people-blurby bodies with floating heads
In the third, the yellow on the right is North and South America. The blue would be the ocean. I guess the whole rest of the world is the small yellow and red area.

Yes we do get inspired in very unusual places. I'm glad you got inspired. They are great.
