I made a quilt for my moms birthday and I'm going to Ohio this week so I'm giving it to her 2 months early! Won't she be surprised! I had some trouble quilting this one because I was trying to use my janome 6500 and it was getting stuck, but I switched back to my walmart brother and it was great. I ended up using 2 different colors of cream and tan thread too... hope she doesn't notice.

My 6 yo daughter made the pillow to match! I just had her sew the blocks together and left out the square on pointe to make it simple for her and she did a great job! She's so proud and Logan helped us stuff it. I can't wait to see if we make "New Nana" cry :) (I don't know why but my daughter has been calling her that forever LOL)

Now that is a family project to be proud of! Not only is it so incredibly beautiful, but your mom can boast that her daughter and grandkids made it out of love for her.

Thanks for sharing and let us know if she cries :0)
