This all started because I took some scraps out of my trash can before I emptied it. The little blue flower one is what I ended up with. I am now in the middle of trying to sort some scraps that I have just been piling up, so when I get bored or find a scrap that really appeals to me, I stop and play. Some I am going to use as greeting cards, one or two I think I will frame. As you can see I have enough scraps to make thousands of mug rugs, or dozens of quilts. Having a lot of fun, and getting a little organizing done.

Those are all great! The thing I love about mug rugs is that I have always made them, just didn't know what they were called or what to do with them until I joined this board! :-)

    Great use of scraps!

I think scraps are hidden gold as after all, they cost as much as yardage.

Soo what are you gonna do with all of them once they are done?? Good luck on reducing the stash..I have been trying to do that for about 30 years now..it seems my fabric is like rabbits..I don't go in the sewing room for a couple of days and when I do there's more than before?? How does that happen? *LOL*

Crafty_linda_b: That is a very good question. I think what I am going to do is take a large handful from each container (color group), put it in a paper bag and start foundation stripping. I really like strip quilts and for me they are very relaxing to work on. Of course, this may only be a way to rationalize keeping all these scraps!
