A friend who takes portrait pictures (many being children) asked for a quilt similar to one she had seen in a picture that she sent me. After much grilling she wanted nothing like the picture except alot of red and white patches with no particular pattern. She wanted it to be very random. I never thought random would be so difficult and my red selections are more pinky red than candy apple red. I think it will be easier to photograph myself. Anyway, this is where I am with it. It measures 48 x 48 inches with 4inch squares. Would you put a border on it? If so, one or two, and what widths? I think I am just tired of looking at it so I cannot chose.

i like it without a border. especially if it is for the background in portraits. i said this before, but i think borders take away alot from a quilt when it is added just to make a quilt bigger.

Oh how pretty!!! I would do a border, maybe a narrow one and a wider one.

I like it without a border, so I would leave it as is.

My choice on this one would be no borders.

Although it is nice just like it is, I would add a thinner stop border, then a wider border. Depends on the finished size you want I suppose, how much fabric you have or want to get, and what you like. Me? I'm a border gal. Let us know what you end up doing!
