    some of the quilts on display today were brand new and some were very old. most of the quilts in the bed turning were old and a couple were in the process of being restored.
    i thought the round butterfly quilt was spectacular. the workmanship was superb.

    I'm sure others, as well as I, really appreciate you posting these pictures. At least here, we don't have to worry about touching them. It's just so hard to keep your hands off of them.

    Wow and Wow. I loved the first one, Liked the first one, was it based off the dresden plate? Loved the smaller flowers on it. Where they pieced that way? What was it's name? Are your eyes suffering from the sugar surge,LOL. You have shared some beautiful pictures of some Grand Quilts.

    yes i am in the mood to create after seeinig all the wonderful quilts.
    the dresden plate (that was the name on the tag) was appliqued just like the traditional pattern. the smaller ones around the edges are exactly like the big ones and the effect was stunning.
