this is the first quilt I've made that isn't just squares... I want to try to stitch in the ditch, but have never done that and I don't want to mess it up, plus don't know how that would look on the back, since it's reversible... Any ideas?

this is the front, sorry not the best pic

It will look good. The back will echo the blocks on the front.

I would stitch diagonally across the blks with the triangles , then continued and stitch across the next full square blk going the other direction. this would mean going down , then up and then down, etc. it would make a nice zig zag on the back for each row and easily get you across the quilt.

I'm assuming you've never done FMQ before? The circular pattern of the fabric screams Circular FMQ to me.

I've done it once, but would really like to practice more before I do this one. This quilt has been sitting here waiting to be finished for about a month, lol! I want to get it done... I hate leaving things unfinished!

Instead of SID, a 1/4" on either side of the seams would be pretty, just use your machine's foot for the guide. A very pretty quilt. Or diagonally through the centre of the blocks so the back will look like diamonds.
