Lucy spent a lot of time planning this quilt as a gift for her mother. She knew that she just HAD to include morning glories in the quilt, because they are her mother's favorite flower.

Lucy found a gorgeous navy blue fabric that had morning glories, and wanted to feature that as a large center area of the quilt. She wanted cross-hatching in that entire area to be reminiscent of the lattice that her mother had outside the kitchen door.

Then she made an arched border in lavender and green, and then another border in the focus fabric.

Lucy's mother was tickled with her new quilt.

Could we see a picture of the entire quilt, please? So far it looks lovely, but I would really like to see the whole thing!

Unfortunately, she has already taken the quilt to give to her mother, and I couldn't "step back" from it far enough to get the entire thing in the picture. It just has the navy focus fabric in the center, and then the borders. The center section was about 3 feet wide, and 6 feet long....
