The first quilt is a design I made using a fat quarter of Celebration of Day of the Dead as my inspiration.

The second quilt is a quilt I made titled the "Path of Life" in memory of my dad. The quilt starts at the bottom of the path with our family tree. As you go up the path, my grandmothers flower garden is on the right (with buttons from their button jars) and my grandfathers vegetable garden is on the left. The top of the quilt ends at the beach/water because we live in Biloxi. The silhouette is me and my dad walking on the beach.

I love the family tree one, what a terrific idea for a quilt that can be passed down through the family, it could even be added to in future generations by someone who could applique on more leaves and future names. It's a wonderful memorial to your dad.

These are all beautiful quilts. I have seen a variety of family quilts and love them all. Will be making one or something of the sort for my late supervisor husband and son. She passed two days before Thanksgiving of cancer. Did not know there was a board member that close to me. PM and maybe we can meet sometimes.

Both are beautiful and the story that the second tells is wonderful.

Beautiful, especially the family tree quilt! Must have been a lot of work but a work of love. I also didn't know where was a Moss Point guilt show. A little far for me but glad to know we have some here in MS!!
