Is it usually a shorter width or folded differently than the 2 1/2 inches and then folded in half that is used for quilts? Is there a general rule on what size and type of binding to use on different projects? Thanks, in advance, to anyone who has a few minutes to educate me!
I don't know that I am the person to educate you but I will tell you what I do. I do the binding 2 1/2" and put it on the same as I do on quilts. I hand sew on the back side. My corners are folded because I just have not been able to master mitered corners even though I have been sewing for over 50 yrs. Maybe I'll make that a project--after Christmas. The folded corners don't always come out to my expectations. Hope that helps.
Thanks, Candy, for your advice....I'm gonna give it a shot!
