Quilt for my 9 ear old grand-son. Murphy's law........need one 5 1/2 inch strip to finish, oh well back to the fabric store!!

Murphy's law is right ....... lol ...... I feel your pain. I hope your local fabric store has more of hat fabric.

if you don't find any extra fabric put one or both of the other colours and then put applique label with name on.

Good luck with finding the fabric. Cute D9P-like your layout with two fabric that coordinate with you focus fabric. If you can't find the fabric, try to improvise with what you have. Do a piano keyboard with what you have leftover. I can't tell you HOW MANY TIMES this happens to me !!

Very nice boy quilt. How much do you need? In case you can't get more matching fabric, could you possibly open each corner and remove a piece then add a colored cornerstone, use what you removed to finish the border. hope there is enough to do this. good luck
