Default music themed single irish chain quilt top

I was approached by some folks in the choir to make a quilt for the choir director. After making dead sure from her daughter that she would appreciate this, I proceeded on. Of course I fell in love w/ some fabric, but there wasn't enough to do my original plan. So, after wandering around the quilt store for about 3 hours last Saturday and going thru Plans A - G, this is how it panned out. I must admit that it is much better than my Plan A I'll hand quilt this and it must be done by Memorial Day for the choir director. Enjoy...

Oops - sorry the first one is so blurry

I picked an Irish Chain because it is a simple pattern to make for someone. It isn't too busy, it can be elegant looking....The choir director has seen my other quilts that I have made and the lady that is in charge of buying her gift at the end of choir season (June) has noticed her eyes lighting up when she has seen my quilts. I feel honored.

There is another lady that is going to embroider a label for the back, and then we will have all the choir members sign the label and it will get sewn to the back. I also put flannel on the back since flannel just screams "Cozy up underneath me!!" LOL!!
