My quilting friend nagged me to show you this project so here goes. Way back in the 70's I sold a liquid embroidery product. This was one of the projects that I painted. I did nothing with the blocks until 2004 when I decided to finally put it together. Got the top finished and then did not know much about quilting so decided to start stitching around each little figure. Another quilting friend told me that I was doing echo stitching. I did not know that but did know that it took me about a month to do each block. Then we moved to another state and I did not get back to it until 2007 when I finally finished it. I entered it in the local fair and won a blue ribbon. I gave it to my daughter as she was a small girl when I first painted the blocks. She told me she cuddled under it this winter which tickled my heart. I told her it was to use and not to keep on a shelf.
