So, while she got started with her treatments, I got started with "her" quilt hoping to get it done quickly. A trip interferred and life in general (plus a couple of holidays as well) and I finally have it done and can post a few pics.

The really good news is that the chemo has taken care of that tumor and that she doesn't even have to complete all 16 treatments.

The quilt is finally done and I'll be hand delivering it to her soon and she can enjoy it in good health. I am so thankful for that!

BTW, http://www.eaglemountainquilting.com/ did the quilting and did a wonderful job! I highly recommend them. Even with shipping, it was more reasonable than I could get locally.
What a beautiful quilt, and so special for your friend. She is going to love it. So happy to hear good news about her health, too. :-)

What a beautiful quilt. I am so happy her cancer has been addressed and she no longer needs radiation. What a double gift. She will love it.
