Thank you ALL for the compliments! They are most appreciated.
I had wanted to finish over the weekend, but we dried out here in AR enough to whip the yard into shape. Back to rain, so it's back to sewing!

It's DONE!!! It's DONE!!! It's DONE!!!
I'm quite pleased with the end result. I ended up backing the quilt with a cotton sheet. Someone suggested snuggly flannel, but between living in Arkansas and moving to Florida, he wanted a something more lightweight.
There are a few "lessons" that I have learned from this project. The first and most important is to measure 8,000 times, cut one time. That I think was my biggest problem with this quilt. I also have to learn to slow down a little bit, because rushing causes mistakes. There's a doozie with the binding, but it adds charachter... ! And finally, and most important, is to keep working and keep quilting. I'm pretty much self-taught and this is only my second blanket. I can only improve!!! I can't wait to start my next project.
Thank you all again for the encouragement and compliments.
