Default My big step out of my comfort zone!

I have started this quilt for my DD. She always said she didn't want a quilt as it just wasn't her style. Now she has changed her mind and wants a throw for her bed. I was so excited I let her have free reign at picking the pattern. LOL... so she picked Urban Abacus which is all about curves.
I have never done a curve before and am pretty nervous about it. All the pieces are cut, and today I start the sewing. Wish me luck!!!
I did buy the special ruler for cutting the curved shapes, and I am SO HAPPY that I did. Made the cutting so much easier.
Here is a photo of the ovals, now I'm off to start sewing on the side pieces. I have read the instructions so many times they are about worn out. LOL, there is nothing left but to just DO it.
Hugs and smiles!!

That is going to be beautiful. I found with my drunkard path experiment if I did a little pinning and a little relaxing in went pretty good. Good Luck!!

I bought the Simple Curve ruler for some curved piecing. I haven't used it for that yet but the gentle curve does look like it will piece fairly easily. I love your blocks!
