Woo Hoo! I am on the downhill side. Just have the top border to put on tomorrow and I will reach my goal which was to take this to the LA quilter on Monday 31st. I had my quilt inspector give his approval. Actually, he jumped up there without my permission but that is just how he is. I named this 'Cat Dreams'. Certainly is a 'catty' quilt.

Hurray! I made my goal and actually got the second side entirely done by late afternoon on Saturday. So off it went to the LA lady today. Can hardly wait to get it back. I told her just to do a simple meander since both sides are different so will be fun to see what she comes up with. If...and that's a big IF...I ever did another one of these, I would measure everything three times before I sewed anything. My center panels were not exactly the same (off by about 3/4 of an inch) so they won't sandwich exactly on top of each other. Plus, by the time I got to the second side making all the odd sized blocks, I was way better at squaring up each block before sewing it in. I will do the binding in the zebra fabric and post one final pic here before I give it to granddaughter.

Finished the last stitch of the binding today! Hurray so it took me almost 4 months from start (Jan 3) to today (Apr 18) to finish. I also added one pic of how the nice LA lady added some kitty motifs in my blank spaces. Will deliver to granddaughter for her graduation next month. Since she likes cats, hope she will like this. Her mom, our daughter, says she will. :-) Thanks for watching my journey with all of this!
