Going to be making this for my husbands aunt and uncle...they are such nice people and they definitely deserve a quilt! What do you guys think of the fabric colors? I was planning on only using these 3...but not sure if it needs something else. Any input is appreciated! This by no means is the layout...just what I've made so far!

The big squares are a little more tan than what the picture shows

Just what I have so far...now that I look at it more...needs something else

I think it looks ok. Ya really need to have a photo shown with a little distance to get a better idea of how its going to look.

These are beautiful fabrics, but I would probably try to add one or two more. If you're going for a serene feel, keep it in this family, but you could also try for some spark by introducing something different. A yellow print maybe?

If I'm seeing the colors accurately on my screen, this will yield a "calm and quiet" quilt - perfect for a hammock in the shade of a big ol' tree. If that result suits your husband's aunt and uncle (their personalities, their decor, etc.), I wouldn't change a thing.

If that's not the case, though, I'd add a 4th fabric with more pizzazz.

I was thinking about adding a 4th fabric (probably another patterned one...not so blender). Now that I have a few other people saying that too I can go look! I can't make up my mind when I shop by myself! Usually I like someone else to bounce ideas off of :)

How about adding something in that darker blue/purple that is in the leaves on your floral.

I would add another lighter color to brighten it up a little. I like the ones you have so far.
