I had a time of it with these yesterday. I made these from a little kit fabric Kitty gave me. (It was not the pattern provided with the kit) I really only had enough to make these by inches! Then I have looked for 2 months to find that grey-green to finish the edges off with. I finally just used a brown to make the bias and sewed it on to both placemats. About three quarters of the way hand sewing it to the back ... I hated it!

I was overheated from the temperatures being a hundred yesterday. The air conditioner ran all day and my sewing room was still too warm upstairs. I just put them on a cutting mat and cut the edging off and threw it into the garbage and started over with this color. (Not usually like me, but I had had it!)

Anyway in chat this morning the gals asked I put them on the board for you to see. I honestly hate these mats now.. I can't wait to get rid of them.
One finished ... One not.

Your effort to complete these pretties really shows.
I think they are beautiful.
Glad you posted them.

I love 'em!!! You're just sick of all the worry about them, but they really are quite lovely.
