Default My Daughters Very first Quilt !

Not only is it her first quilt, it was the first time she had ever used a sewing machine. With that in mind we kept the design very simple. She was mastering a new skill as she created a quilt. She quilted it with Stitch in the ditch.

She asked this past summer for me to teach her how to quilt at 17. She was so excited when the last stitch was done, she wanted it washed & dried right away.

She has another pile of fabric she selected. I can't wait to see what she creates next.

Thanks for looking.

We are seeing the beginning of a new quilter - and she's done a tremendous job of her first one, too! Can't wait to see the next one.....

That's a great quilt; you have every right to be proud of her!

It's fun to get the younger generation involved, and teach them a new skill. I tell my 'grands' that the more they know the more valuable they are to the world and, of course, to themselves.
