I've been reading and oogling over so many Dear Janes in progress.....really beautiful work out there!!

I started on these a couple of months back and selected ones that could be appliqued since we were going to be on a boat for a month with no access to a sewing machine.

A VERY loooooong way to go, but it's a start. I've purposely not trimmed the blocks to size yet to avoid fraying. Thanks for looking!

It's beautiful. I bought the book, but figured this will be a long term project. I like the idea of applique instead of sewing all those tiny pieces. Thanks for the tip and for sharing your progress.
