Here is the top I've been working on . It's a king size. I made it in nine sections to make it easier to quilt. It seems huge to me...right now it's about 115" square. I know quilting, squaring the blocks and sewing it together will reduce it's size some. I know my DSD bed sets high off the floor. I don't want it to be too big!
The little yellow squares are sticky notes to help me when I was sewing it together.

Allowing for pillow tuck and over hang it should be just fine. I also love the colors and pattern.

Is your concern with the size? Or with quilting it? If quilting by domestic machine, I would split the batting into three sections to make it easier to fit under the arm of the machine.

It is beautiful. Love that color combo. I think the size is good too. Great job and thanks for sharing.

I am not concerned with quilting as it is in 9 sections....I just don't want it to lay on the floor!!

If the bed sits high off the floor, it won't be too big.
    It is beautiful.

Is this a "surprise" quilt. If not, maybe you can ask for the bed to be measured? Beautiful quilt BTW!
