So cute! Tell your DH that I have a better story to tell.....we started to remodeled our home in l979
and when we did the kitchen in winter of l984-5 my DH bought the top of theline Kitchen Aid
dishwasher and had it built in the new kitchen cabinets.....it is now 2013 and it still isn't hooked up
to water or electricity. But it does store dishes!!! My DH passed away in 2006, so now I have
to find some one to finish it, just don't know when. Wish I lived closer to you I would give you
the dishwasher!!! lol

Great idea, and a nice mat even when the dishwasher is back on the job!

I bought a microfiber dish drying mat for our camper. I decided to use it in my kitchen and my husband used a magnetic clip on one corner so it could hang on the side of the refrigerator to dry. The microfiber one does not drape very sell over the handle on the stove and/or frig. I love your idea so much better - may just have to dig around in the stash of fabric and leftover batting and make a prettier one for my kitchen.
