I have two charm packs and one Jelly Roll of Moda' s Maison De Garance by French General. Once I decide on a pattern to use, I'd be willing to purchase some more fabric by the yard.
Which pattern or block would you use? I am a beginner to maybe intermediate quilter. I'd like a pattern that fits the motifs of this fabric - so not twister! If anyone has an example of this fabric in a quilt' I'd love to see it. I really haven't done triangles yet, but could give them a try!

Check on the Moda Bake Shop site. They have many, many quilt patterns made with charm packs and jelly rolls.

Hi Linda- I spotted this pattern (the 2nd one on the page). I hope they have the pattern posted because it looks easy and very pretty...http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:TalRvBK2SIsJ:www.marianneelizabeth.com/+french+quilt+pattern&cd=6&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a&source=www.google.com

The pattern is called Cozy Cottage. I hope that link works... and oh, my gosh, do they ever have some pretty fabric on this site, too!

I got a free pattern with my jelly roll; and it was perfect because the fabrics are so pretty I get the chance to use every one!

I bought the beautiful yardage for the long strips...it is lovely! You could always use those charms for a piano key border.

There's also the Jelly Roll Quilt Along at Moosequilts which they did last
year. It's a sampler which is a good way to learn different blocks.
All the patterns are still available for download. Hurry and download
    if you're interested. :)

    You can also check http://www.flickr.com/groups/1343277@N20/
to see how the blocks came out with different fabrics.

This year they are doing a Layer Cake quilt along.
