I put several things in the fair and... I won a second place for my Hawaiian applique pillow, I won a blue ribbon for "best quilting" on my green feather wall quilt. I'm tickled about that one! I got a third place for the trio of photos, and a first place for my sunflower photo. The hot air balloon is mine too but it didn't win anything. I also won a first place for my molasses cookies and a first place for large brown eggs. Our fair is itty bitty so there aren't a great deal on entries in any catagory. BUT, I am doing my part to keep the tradition alive. There was about half as many entries this year in ALL catagories as compared to last year. I'm guessing one day in the near future, we won't have a county fair unless someone changes locations and puts a bit on money into.
