We had wonderful warm fall. Inspired of that I made 2 quilts for my parents country house. Big quilt finished size is 148x198 cm (58x78 inches). I used this tutorial for big quilt binding: http://tlcstitches.blogspot.com/2010...-tutorial.html

Rocking chair quilt finished size is 54x175 cm (23x69 inches).

Beautiful quilt. I am so addicted to coming here and looking to see what everyone is doing. Love the leaves around your quilts too. Definitely Fall. Thanks for sharing them.

I love love your choice of fabrics! Your quilt is very nice and I like the pipped binding as well. Your parents will really love having this in their home.

Kind of funny to me, when I see pipped bindings, is that when I made my second quilt I had no idea how to finish the edges. I actually made piping and finished it in much the same way as you have done with your quilt. I think the piping look really gives a nice finish and is more attractive than a regular binding. Sort of like putting matting around a picture. Great job!

Beautiful quilts!! Love the colors and thanks for the link -- I really like that technique for the faux piping since it looks like it would create less bulk than the normal piping.
