Default My first attempt at Grand Mother's Garden quilt block's.

Hi Everyone,

I have always wanted to try making a Grand Mother's Garden quilt top, but thought it might be to hard for me to accomplish. But to my surprise, the blocks went together really nicely. I hope you enjoy looking at my two new blocks!!

Very pretty blocks! Good for you. I have the templates (have had them for 4 yrs now) but never got up the courage to try making a block. Were they hard to do?

I thought the same thing when I started making them and now I really enjoy doing it. Yours are very nice, even and fit very well together. Good job!
peace

Thank you everyone for all of your compliments & encouragement!! Yes, I plan on making a Queen size quilt, I don't know how long it will take me, but I am going to give it a try. These blocks are not hard at all to put together. I watched my Mom put her's together & that helped me in knowing that I could do it. If anyone is interested, please give it a try, as you will be pleasantly surprised how well they go together!!

SulaBug, I always enjoy seeing your projects and really like your first two blocks. What size hexagons are you using? My Grandmother's Flower Garden projects have always been small wall hangings with 1/2" or 1/4" hexies. Haven't had the determination to tackle a quilt.
