THIS IS A NEW THREAD...showing progress as I go
the good and the bad...lol
These are what I have chosen for a quilt called stacked coins.
This is the "first" actual quilt I am making.
I have a brain injury and have only done sandwich quilts.
I am trying to get brave and step outside of the box.
What looks and is simple can be the most confusing
and complicated thing ever.
Cutting the 5x5 went ok on Accuquilt
However...working with the rotary cutter is very scary to me.
I ruined 5 squares and sat down and cried.
Got up and pushed on taking it as slow as I could...
Got all the rest cut without ruining anymore.
This is stressful to say the least.
It is hard to line up my eyesight and the rotary cutting with my brain injuries and NOT cut me.
Will post new up dates as I go along :)
I'm climbing that mountain again...uncharted territory.

Looking good so far! IMHO there's no such thing as a simple quilt--they all present their own challenges! Don't get discouraged! Accept that you're not going to be perfect, and then move on--you'll be pleased with your end result!
