my first batik

I did this little lap quilt this weekend. The first time I used batik. At first I didn't like batik, everyone was talking about it everywhere. I bought my first fabric and now I love it! Pictures on the internet just didn't do it justice. Have just purchased more and ready to do another project with it!

So bright and certainly colorful. I like it alot and like you I did not fancy batiks either until I finally tried a jelly roll of batiks and also like you, I want to do more. I like the way you pieced the backing too. Great job!
