Well, finally finish my first block and can't wait to finish the rest to move on with the baby quilt...
I wish I hadnt used the green for the flower but its to late now and will have to watch that in the future. (What was I thinking) LOL
But over all I'm proud of my first one, and sure they will get better with practice...

I love the green background. Good work on your "first" and I hope you will have many more blocks in your future. Welcome from Louisiana. (I lived in Newcastle, OK for 17 years). Hope your weather is better today. It's been a rough winter in OK. :)

Thank you erstan, and its cold outside I can feel the air coming through the windows here in my computer room and I even have a small electric heater by my feet...
I guess one of the down falls of getting older is not liking the cold very much...LOL its only 18 degrees right now and the wind chill more and likly much colder.

Love your beautiful block. You could outline quilt the 'petals' with perhaps a blanket stitch so that the green petal shows up. It is a great lookingg block. Don't worry abut the gee petals, you can make it work with threadwork or embellishments.
