I am making this for my dad. It looks much better in person since today is rainy - but you can get the idea. I need to put a boarder on to make it wide enough, but the gold takes over too much. White gets dirty. The purple can't go up and down due to the graphic.

What do I do??? :(

I would do a gold border and then bind it with the blue/white or a matching solid blue.

Could you find a purple and gold print (not floral)?

Just a small gold boarder? I think that looks good - but then it is not wide enough. I am going to wrap the back around the front for the binding. Probably some type of purple to match the Vikings or something a bit lighter. I just don't know if it will be wide enough . . .

How about a 1" border where the yellow is, then the yellow a little wider, then maybe a mottled purple. It wouldn't be close to the main purple so it wouldn't have to exactly match.

A narrow gold strip, then a matching purple wider border.

Maybe a small white border with a wider solid purple?
Love the quilt, by the way!!

*edit* I just realized you don't have the gold on yet... I think a small gold, then a small white, then a bit wider purple border?

I meant to say 1" white border where the yellow is. That wouldn't get dirty since it would be narrow.
