I saw these in the Nov/Dec 2010 McCall's Quilting and knew I'd be making some. I've been wanting to try something with selvedges but didn't see anything that really grabbed me. Then I got a couple of pieces of Moda fabric with the little bells on the selvedge.

One is mine. One is for my MIL. The others I'm not sure what I'll do with, but it's always good to have a couple of little things on hand.

They are adorable. Bet the kids would love them with some candy inside. Of course wrapped candy. How large are they?

They were fun, and fast. The way they go together is really slick.

I needed the break from the tree skirt I'm making, which is an easy pattern but since I'm doing it with different/more than the pattern is written for, it was burning up a lot of brain power.

They're somewhere between 4 and 5 inches tall, and about 2.5" at the top opening.

I can see why you wanted to make them - they have such a great shape too - some stockings just don't have a nice shape - those are fabulous :)
