You did a great job on it, I would be very happy with it. The pillow adds the finishing touch!

She picked it up today, and loved it! I am so pleased. She is having family photos taken this weekend, and said she is planning to use the quilt for those photos every year as her daughter grows up. I am honored that she wants to use something I made in just a precious way!!

To those who commented on charging, I have a hard time with it because a) I'm so new to this, I don't feel like my skills are worth paying for, and b) I don't feel I could ever charge enough to make up for actual work that I could use that time for. I also just have fun doing this so I'm happy as long as I don't have to pay for the materials!!! Clients at my day job pay about $450 an hour for my work, so it's hard to get excited about making a couple hundred dollars for the 20 or so hours I would put into this quilt - I'd rather just have fun doing it and not feel pressured about making a profit since it's just a fun hobby for me anyway. Plus I get to keep the scraps, so I'm adding those to my stash!!!

And she did give me a $50 itunes gift card as a thank you, so I guess I did make a little money off the top anyway
