Hello,
I have a young friend at work who lost her mom to breast cancer 3 yrs. ago. I really like her and thought I would surprise her with a quilt especially for her. She teaches piano lessons to young children and I found piano, lyrical and music symbol fabrics. I wanted to try a D9P with a piano key border, so that is what I did. I gave it to her on Monday which turned out to be her birthday, so we were both surprised and she absolutely loved it she even cried. Thanks for looking, the third picture shows the label I made.

Beautiful!...I am using this pattern now with a class I am teaching...it is coming along...did you do cut and sew 9 squares or did you start with strips...if you know what I mean?
