i love the d9 patch. too!!! - so many different combinations depending on fabrics and the way the blocks are turned!!!

I used 7 inch blocks. But, on the next one I want to scale them down just a touch. Maybe to 6 inches. It really will depend on the print on the fabric.

Jingle, I was afraid of that too. I took my sewing machine in right next to my design wall. I just took 1 block down at a time and attached it. And completed it row by row.

It sounds like your quilts were fun also. And, random is good!! lol
